Hotel SEO agency for more direct bookings
Travellers compare on booking platforms, check reviews, and increasingly ask an AI assistant to plan the trip. We help independent hotels, small groups and hospitality venues win the searches and answers the platforms do not own, keep their details right everywhere a guest looks, and make booking direct faster than booking through someone else.
ثلاثون دقيقة. بلا عرض شرائح. تخرج بخطة مرتّبة حسب الأولوية.
A hotel guest's decision is spread across a dozen places. They see you on a booking platform, check the map, read reviews on two sites, look at photos, compare the price you show with the price the platform shows, and increasingly ask an assistant to suggest where to stay and what to do. Your own website is one stop among many, and often not the one where the booking happens.
That is not a problem SEO can make disappear. It is one SEO can shift, so more of the guests who were already choosing you book direct. This page explains how, what it costs, and what we will not promise.
Who is this for?
Independent hotels, boutique groups, serviced apartments, resorts and the hospitality businesses around them: restaurants, spas, event and wedding venues. Common starting points:
An independent hotel with strong reviews on the platforms and a website that loads slowly, hides its booking engine and ranks below the platforms for its own name.
A small group whose properties each have their own profile, set up differently, with a website that treats every property the same way.
A venue that wants more events, weddings or restaurant bookings, and whose pages say little beyond a gallery and a contact form.
If you need revenue management, a channel manager, metasearch bidding or a new booking engine, we are not the right hire. We work on organic search, AI visibility and conversion on the site you have.
How do travellers actually search?
In our research on travel results pages, searches fall into five groups.
Broad destination searches. "Hotels in" a city. Dominated by booking platforms, travel publishers and Google's own hotel results. An independent hotel rarely wins the organic list here, and planning around that is a mistake.
Specific stay searches. A type of stay plus a place: "boutique hotel with pool in", "family hotel near" a landmark, "pet-friendly hotel in" a neighbourhood. More specific, closer to a decision, and more open to a hotel's own pages.
Name searches. Your hotel's name, with or without "reviews" or "booking". The most valuable searches you have, because the guest has already chosen, and often the ones where a platform sits above you.
Experience searches. Restaurants, spas, events, weddings and meetings, often by people who are not staying overnight.
Trip planning. What to do, where to eat, how to get around. Increasingly answered by AI assistants and Google's AI features, which build an itinerary and suggest where to stay.
What do AI answers do for travel searches?
Travel is one of the areas where AI assistants are used to plan: ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity for a weekend in a city and you get an itinerary with hotels and restaurants named. Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode do something similar for "where to stay" questions. In our observation, the hotels named are drawn largely from review platforms, travel publishers and booking sites, and the descriptions reflect what those sources say, including out-of-date facts.
So consistency matters more than usual. If your amenities, room types, location details and policies differ between your site, your Google Business Profile and the platforms, an assistant may describe a hotel you no longer are, or leave you out.
What does SEO look like for a hotel?
We start with the searches you should already own.
Your name. A fast, complete site, a clear booking button above the fold on every page, a strong business profile, and consistent details everywhere. When a guest searches your name, the page they land on should make booking direct the easiest option.
The business profile. The correct hotel category, accurate amenities, real photos of rooms and spaces, current policies, and replies to reviews. For hotels the profile also connects to Google's hotel results, where rates and booking links appear; we make sure what shows there matches your site.
Specific stay pages. One page per genuine reason to stay with you: families, business travel, a nearby venue or landmark, a feature such as a pool or a rooftop. Each with specific detail, not a keyword swapped into the same text.
Experience pages. Restaurant, spa, meetings, events and weddings, each with menus, capacities, packages and prices where you can publish them.
The local area. A small number of genuinely useful guides written by your team, what guests ask the front desk every day, which also give assistants something specific to quote.
Underneath, technical SEO: image-heavy templates and third-party booking scripts often make hotel sites slow on phones. We fix speed against the Core Web Vitals thresholds, make sure the booking engine does not create crawl or duplication problems, and use schema markup to describe the hotel, its rooms and its amenities consistently. That sits alongside our local SEO work.
What about guests who find you on a platform first?
Many of them will. A traveller sees your hotel on a booking platform, likes it, and then searches your name to see the rooms properly, check the location or find a better deal. That second search is the moment a direct booking is won or lost, and it is entirely within your control.
What they should find is your own site at the top, fast on a phone, with the same photos and room details they saw on the platform, a price that is at least as good or a clear reason why booking direct is better, and a booking engine that feels like part of your site rather than a detour. If instead they find the platform again, a slow page or a price that looks worse, they go back and book where they started.
How do seasons and events change the plan?
Travel searches start long before the stay. Pages for a summer season, a festival, a conference or the wedding calendar need to exist, be indexed and have earned a little authority months before the dates, and they should live on stable URLs that you update each year rather than recreate. We build a simple calendar with you so the right pages are ready early and nothing important launches the week it is needed.
How does GEO work for a hotel?
Our GEO work for hospitality has three parts.
Consistent facts across your site, your profile, the booking platforms, the review sites and the travel directories: name, location, room types, amenities, policies and contact details.
Quotable pages that answer the questions travellers ask assistants directly: how far you are from a landmark, whether you have parking, what families should know, which rooms suit which guests.
Measurement: a fixed set of trip-planning prompts per engine each month, such as "where to stay in" your area "for families", recording whether you are named, linked and described accurately, and which sources were cited instead.
Where does CRO fit?
For most hotels, this is where direct bookings are won or lost. The usual problems are a booking button that disappears on mobile, a booking engine on a different-looking domain that feels unsafe, a price that is higher than the platform's with no reason given, surprise fees at the last step, and room pages without clear photos or sizes.
Our CRO work maps the path from landing page to confirmed booking on a phone, removes friction, and makes the reasons to book direct visible, such as a better cancellation policy, a perk or a flexible check-in, whatever you can genuinely offer. Changes are tested where traffic allows.
How do we report?
Weekly, in a portal, in plain language:
- direct booking starts, completed bookings and revenue where your booking engine shares it, tracked in GA4;
- enquiries for events, weddings and restaurants;
- business profile actions: calls, website clicks and direction requests;
- rankings for your name and the stay and experience pages in the plan;
- monthly, how often assistants name or cite you for the tracked prompts.
What happens in the first 90 days?
Weeks 1 and 2: audit and plan
Your name's results page, the business profile and hotel results, platform and review consistency, speed on real data, the booking path on a phone, and a first run of trip-planning prompts. A written plan you approve.
Weeks 3 to 6: name, profile and booking path
Profile and listing fixes, speed fixes, a visible booking path on every page, and consistent details everywhere.
Weeks 5 to 12: stay, experience and area pages
Pages ship in weekly batches, timed ahead of the seasons and events they target, while outreach to travel and local publications starts.
Every week: report
What moved, what moved it and what is next.
Ninety days is usually enough to improve how you appear for your own name and to move direct bookings through booking-path fixes. Broad destination searches stay with the platforms, and we plan around them.
What does it cost?
Flat monthly retainers that start at 1,750, 3,350 and 6,700 US dollars a month. A single hotel fixing its name, profile and booking path usually fits the first plan; a hotel with venues and events, or a group, usually needs the second or third. Details are on the pricing page. Plans run month to month.
What will we not promise?
To take destination searches from the booking platforms, a number of direct bookings, or a position by a date. We will not write reviews, offer incentives for them against the platforms' rules, or publish amenities you do not have.
What do we need from you?
Someone who can approve pages within a week, access to the site, the booking engine's analytics, Search Console and the business profile, and your team's knowledge of the area and the guests. The terms used here are defined in the glossary.
أسئلة تتكرر علينا
Can SEO reduce our reliance on booking platforms?
It can shift part of the mix, not remove the platforms. Booking platforms own most broad 'hotels in' searches and will keep doing so. What a hotel can win is its own name, the specific searches the platforms serve poorly, and the guests who find you on a platform and then look for a better way to book.
Why do platforms outrank us for our own hotel name?
Often because your site is slow, thin or poorly structured compared with the listing, or because the platform bids on your name. We fix what is on your side: a fast, complete site, a strong business profile and clear reasons to book direct.
Can you get our hotel recommended by ChatGPT?
We can make it more likely and measure it. For hotel recommendations, assistants lean on review platforms, travel publishers and booking sites, so we make your details consistent there and make your own pages easy to quote. No one can guarantee what a model says.
Do you work with restaurants and venues too?
Yes, as part of a hotel or on their own. Restaurants, spas, event and wedding venues each have their own searches and their own pages, and they often bring guests who then book rooms.
How long does hotel SEO take?
Profile, speed and booking-path fixes can show within weeks. New pages for events, packages and the local area usually take three to six months to rank. Seasonality matters, so we plan pages to be live well before the dates they target.
Do you manage our channel manager or rates?
No. We work on organic search, AI visibility and conversion. We will make sure the rates and availability guests see on your site and in Google's hotel results agree, because a mismatch costs bookings.
Do you work with hotel groups?
Yes. Each property needs its own profile, pages and reviews. We plan the group as one engagement and report property by property.
