Best SEO agencies (2026 comparison)

Five well-known SEO agencies compared on the same three questions: is there a published price, what proof backs the claims, and what is left unsaid.

Five well-known SEO agencies are compared here on the same three questions: whether a price is published, what proof backs the headline claim, and what the page leaves unsaid. Only one of the five names a specific dollar figure; the rest ask for a budget range instead.

That comparison sits inside a bigger decision. How to choose an SEO agency covers the full set of criteria before any shortlist, including ones a homepage alone cannot answer.

في هذه الصفحة

How were these five chosen?

By search visibility and name recognition for "best SEO agency" and "SEO company" queries as of 23 September 2026, then reading each agency's own homepage and pricing page — the same limit the rest of this cluster applies. Nothing here comes from a directory, an awards program, or a third-party review platform; everything is what the agency says about itself, which is also what a buyer sees first.

That is a real limit. Nobody here has hired any of these five agencies or spoken to their clients directly. An agency that does strong work but writes a thin homepage will score worse here than one with a polished page, and that gap is exactly why the three questions below focus on what a buyer can check before signing anything.

  1. Published price

A specific dollar figure or package tier on the page — not only a budget-range dropdown in a contact form.

  2. Proof with a named client

A real company name attached to a real number, not just a percentage with no denominator or a logo with no metric.

  3. What's left unsaid

Is the number company-wide and blended, or traceable to one account? Is there any third-party way to check it?

The five agencies, reviewed

Thrive: strong per-client numbers, no published price

Thrive's homepage does not name a rate. Its contact form asks for a monthly budget between $2,500 and $50,000-plus instead, which functions as a soft floor without committing to one [1]. The proof is real and specific: a 427% increase in top-10 organic keywords for a named roofing client, $350,000 in added ad revenue for another, a 95% client retention figure, and seven straight years on the Inc. 5000 list.

What is missing is the connective tissue between the two. A 95% retention rate says something about the whole client book; the 427% figure says something about one account. Neither tells you what a new, average-sized engagement should expect.

Victorious: enterprise clients, but the metrics are about ranking

Victorious names real enterprise clients — SoFi, GE Digital, Salesforce, Delta Dental among them — and backs the relationship with year-over-year account metrics: an 847% increase in goal completions for one client, a 200% increase in organic revenue for another [2]. It has also won Search Agency of the Year five times, with more than 75 awards total. No price is published; the page suggests budgeting at least $6,000 a month.

WebFX: the only one of the five with a real price

WebFX is the exception on pricing. Its SEO pricing page names actual package tiers — Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond — each with a stated initial fee and an ongoing monthly rate, alongside industry-benchmark bands by company size running from roughly $500 to $50,000-plus a month depending on scale [3]. That is a genuinely useful reference point even for a buyer who ends up hiring someone else.

1 of 5

agencies reviewed here that publish a specific dollar price on their own site — the other four ask for a budget range in a contact form instead Agency homepages and pricing pages, checked 23 September 2026

The proof on the same page is aggregate rather than individual: a reported $10 billion-plus in revenue driven for clients and nearly 25 million leads, both summed across the whole client base rather than tied to one named account. A published price is real, checkable evidence. An aggregate outcome number is not the same kind of evidence, and it is worth not treating the two as equally strong just because they sit on the same page.

Single Grain: the most named case studies, no price

Single Grain's homepage leads with 20-plus named case studies, each carrying a specific dollar figure: a building-products client earning 400-plus AI citations worth an estimated $220,000, a real-estate client generating leads valued at $126,000 [4]. The company reports $1 billion-plus in revenue influenced across its book and a 3.2x average client ROI. No price is published; the contact form asks for a monthly budget from under $3,000 to $100,000-plus.

The case-study volume here is the strongest of the five in sheer number. The dollar values attached to each one are agency-estimated rather than independently audited, which does not make them false, only unverifiable from the page alone.

OuterBox: scale claims, logos without individual metrics

OuterBox claims more than 2 million page-one Google rankings across its client base, over 1,000 client partnerships, and more than 20 years in business with 300-plus in-house staff [5]. It displays logos from recognizable enterprise clients — ABB, Aon, Lowe's, Hunter Industries — plus third-party validation from Google's Premier Partner program, Inc. 5000, and Clutch. No price is published; the offer is a free quote.

The logos are the weak point. A logo confirms a client relationship existed; it says nothing about the result, and none of the four named enterprise logos here carries an individual metric next to it.

What does a published price actually tell you?

Less than it feels like it should, and more than a lack of one does. WebFX's tiers do not tell you what your specific site needs — that still requires a scoped conversation — but they let you compare a real number against whatever quote you receive elsewhere before that call happens. An agency with no published number is not necessarily hiding something; it may simply be following the norm in a market where almost nobody prints a rate. But it does mean the first real data point you get is whatever the sales call produces, which is a weaker starting position for comparison shopping than a printed figure gives you.

If you want a structured way to collect comparable numbers from several agencies at once rather than one conversation at a time, an SEO RFP is the tool built for exactly that, and it works whether you send it to any of the five above or to us.

What this comparison can't settle for you

None of these five case studies were built to answer the specific question you are asking about your own site, and no homepage comparison — including this one — replaces a scoped conversation about your traffic, your market, and your competitors. What it can do is narrow the field before that conversation: rule out anyone unwilling to name a number at all if a published price matters to you, and go into every remaining call already knowing which claims are individually verifiable and which are company-wide averages dressed up as one.

If a monthly retainer with any of these five, or with us, does not fit how your team wants to buy this work, SEO agency alternatives covers the other ways to structure it, from a freelancer to an in-house hire to a performance-based deal.

A solo specialist is one more option worth weighing before you call any of these five — SEO consultant vs. agency lays out when a single consultant beats a full retainer.

أسئلة يطرحها الناس

  • Why is RankPearl on a list RankPearl wrote?

Because leaving ourselves off would be a different kind of dishonesty. We are named as an interested party in the methodology, our starting price is printed, and every criterion applied to the other five applies to us too.

  • Do any of the five agencies here publish real pricing?

One does. WebFX publishes named package tiers with specific dollar figures on its own pricing page. The other four ask for a monthly budget range in a contact form instead of naming a rate.

  • Are big traffic or revenue percentages a reliable way to pick an agency?

Not on their own. A company-wide, blended figure and one client's traceable before-and-after are different claims, even when both sit on the same page. Ask which one you are looking at, and ask for the client's name.

  • What's missing from every one of these five sites?

A case study a stranger could independently verify. Every agency here shows a number; none link to a third-party audit, a public dashboard, or a client who will confirm the figure on the record.

  • How was this list put together?

By reading each agency's own homepage and pricing page against three fixed questions on 23 September 2026 — no directories, no surveys, nothing from a third-party rating platform.
